Jesus is the Christ, the king, the man who is God. Jesus lived among us in our world, died in our place on a cross to take our sin and rose again to new life for our hope.

God lovingly planned from the beginning to send his Son to bring people back to himself. Jesus is fully God and fully human, and he alone stands between God and us as our perfect Saviour. He lived a sinless life, died on the cross in our place, and rose again, securing forgiveness and new life for all who trust in him. Now risen and reigning, he prays for his people, leads them by his Word and Spirit, and will one day return to judge the world. Through him, God not only forgives sins but also gives his people a sure hope of eternal life, applying his saving work to them personally and powerfully.

The good news is that, having defeated sin and death, the biggest problems of all time, Jesus is the rightful king. This is the gospel message, Jesus is Lord. In a world of bad news, that’s good news.
