Like any Christian church, the Benalla Presbyterian Church is made up of local people. We are the church. Membership in the church is open to Christians who profess faith in Jesus Christ alone and who live a consistent Christian life.
As Presbyterians, we believe that the church is best governed when many people share in its oversight. Our minister and elders form the Session and together oversee the spiritual life of the church.
Our pastor, Stephen McDonald is a graduate of the Presbyterian Theological College in Melbourne.
He is married to Sarah, and they have two daughters and a son.
He was appointed for 12 months of ministry at Benalla beginning on 1st February 2016. Following a call to the Benalla Parish, he was ordained to the ministry on 31st December 2016.
Before training for the ministry, Stephen was the Station Manage of The Light in Albury-Wodonga.
